Environmental law

What?

Environmental law, also known as environmental and natural resources law, is a collective address environmental pollution. The purpose of environmental laws is to protect the environment and create rules for how people can use natural resources. A related but distinct set of regulatory regimes, now strongly influenced by environmental legal principles, focus on the management of specific natural resources, such as forests, minerals, or fisheries. Other areas, such as environmental impact assessment, may not fit neatly into either category but are nonetheless important components of this law. Environmental laws not only aim to protect the environment from harm, but they also determine who can use natural resources and on what terms. Laws may regulate pollution, the use of natural resources, forest protection, mineral harvesting, and animal and fish populations.
